Message from Kathy Orlando, Principal
Welcome to the PTA's website! Our PTA is supportive of Worthington Elementary School's efforts and we are fortunate to have this valued partnership! I want to thank the PTA Executive Board and members for their kindness, hard work, and assistance!
Kathy Orlando, Principal
Kathy went to the University of Maryland, College Park and earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. She received her Administration and Supervision Certificate from The Johns Hopkins University. She is currently in school working towards a Ph.D. at the College of Notre Dame of Baltimore. Her program of study is "Instructional Leadership of Changing Populations." She values the teaching and learning process very much! In addition to serving as an administrator, she also had the opportunity to teach grades one, three and four, middle school gifted and talented research, literature, debate, and television show production, and middle school special education reading. She has been an educator for 23 years! Kathy has many hobbies and interests. She loves to read, sew, exercise, and travel. She is a huge Ravens fan and enjoys swimming and golf.
Keith West, Assistant Principal
Keith has spent 17 years as an educator in Howard County teaching fourth and fifth grade at Jeffers Hill and Running Brook Elementary. Keith has served as an assistant principal at Manor Woods Elementary, Wilde Lake Middle and Pointers Run Elementary. He has a BA in Political Science from Binghamton University, a MS from Fordham University and an Administrative Certification from Loyola. Keith is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys fishing, kayaking, snorkeling and camping. He is a native New Yorker and dedicated NY Yankee and Dallas Cowboy...go Cowboys! Keith enjoys spending family time with his wonderful daughter Dakota and wife Camille.
