PTA Cultural Arts Programs

Every year the Cultural Arts Committee programs to the school, featuring performers from all over the U.S. and abroad. We work closely with our assistant principal, Mrs. Kreidler, and our teachers to bring performances and artists who offer programs that follow each grades curriculum.  We also try to bring a few “just for fun” performances to the school each year.  Parents & well-behaved children are invited to this performance.

Prior to Mrs. Keating's arrival, each grade will vote on books that they love. The teachers will narrow it down to a few choices. With suggestions and drawings from the kids, Mrs. Keating will develop a design for each of the banners - each grade will paint 1 or 2 banners. The students will then help paint and complete the banners. The banners will be hung in the school cafeteria!

A Worthington favorite, Billy B. will explain predator/prey relationships in wetlands.  Backed by a beautiful tapestry, he sings about 'gators, muskrats, dragonflies & hoot owls.  The food chain and the interdependency of plants & animals becomes easy to understand and just plain fun.
